Decorative Wall LIghts for Reception Areas

Decorative wall lights for entryways create the first impression of your home: they light the entrance, highlight the mirror or console table and create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you open the door. At GreenIce we bring together LED and decorative wall lights so your entryway looks practical and full of personality.

Ideal wall lights for the entryway

• Energy-efficient LED wall lights: models with integrated LED from 2 W to 15 W in warm (2700 K) or neutral (4200 K) light, with up-and-down designs that draw beams of light on the wall. Discover our LED wall lights.
• Wall lights with adjustable tone (CCT): let you choose between warm and neutral light from the same fixture.
• Glass globe wall lights: add an elegant, decorative touch; some models come in an IP44 version, useful if the entryway opens onto a porch or covered outdoor area.
• GU10 wall lights: let you change the bulb and choose the wattage and tone you prefer.
• Mirror and picture lights: light the entryway mirror from the front for a last check before you head out. See our mirror and picture lights.

How to light the entryway with wall lights

The entryway is usually a small space without natural light, so wall lighting is key: it makes the space look larger and avoids the tunnel effect of a single ceiling light. Place a wall light on each side of the mirror or above the console table, at a height of about 1.6–1.8 m, so the light doesn't dazzle as you come in.

If the entryway is long, spacing several identical wall lights along the wall marks the route and gives the decor rhythm.

How to choose a wall light for the entryway

Type of light

Indirect wall lights (up and down) create atmosphere; direct-light models light the mirror or a painting better. If the entryway has no other light, choose a wall light with more lumens.

Color temperature

Warm light gives a cozy welcome. Neutral light is more practical if you use the mirror to get ready.

Wall light depth

In narrow entrances, choose flat models that don't project too far from the wall so you don't bump into them.

Switching

A presence detector switches the light on when you come in with your hands full.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a junction box in the wall?

Yes, the wall light must be connected to a wall light point. If you don't have one, an electrician can install it.

Do LED wall lights include the light source?

Integrated LED wall lights do; models with a lamp holder are usually sold without a bulb.
